By now you know that it was Gandhi who said, “You must be the change you want to see in the world”, but did you know that he also said:
“Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”
“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
“An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.”
“The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world’s problems.”
AND THE BEST ONE I FOUND:
“Almost everything you do will seem insignificant, but it is important that you do it”
And so I will continue to teach my classes on Monday nights (I have been doing that for over 20 years!), I will write to you every Tuesday to share a snippet of my world, and I will continue to do my healing/art work even when it does seem so insignificant.

Anita, Marci, Stan and I got together the other night to have one of our famous platter meals and to discuss Mandala Design Works stuff. To review our time at the jazz festival. To plan ahead for some shows in December, for instance the annual holiday show at Wellspring Holistic Center. And maybe most importantly to hear what Stan had to say about our website, our blog, and our presence on Facebook. I have just begun to embrace this blog thing, and now I learn that in order to be most effective, I really also need to insert links to our site and to other sites as I write my blog. So here I sit with Anita in Delaware Water Gap on Saturday night learning this new trick.
As always, loving the process of learning.

It’s been a while since I’ve played with Shrinky Dinks. As a kid, I remember having a kit to make Smurfs. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are still Shrinky Dink Smurfs cavorting in a box in my parent’s attic.
I recently started playing with shrink film again, and it’s been a blast. I’ve printed some of my photos on the sheets and have also drawn and written on them. It truly is amazing to watch the images shrink in the oven, and since I am still experimenting, it’s quite a surprise to see the final result. I have so many ideas … jewelry, wine glass charms, mobiles, ornaments, perhaps even Smurfs … the possibilities are endless.
If all goes well with my shrink film creations, I may be adding some items ‘hot out of the oven’ to the Mandala Design Works’ shop in the coming weeks.

Stop for a moment and be still.
Notice what your body feels like.
Scan it for areas of tension, tightness, ease, lightness.
Notice what you feel in this moment.
Are you anxious? tense? happy?
How does it feel to pause? Is stopping making you calm? nervous?
Affirm yourself for taking a moment to check in with yourself.
It is good to stop for a moment every once in awhile, isn’t it?
Some of us stop every Monday night for several moments of noticing, affirming, witnessing, and more! Join us in Stroudsburg, PA at Wellspring Holistic Center to learn more about these powerful life practices or click here and find something in your “neck of the woods!“

Invited by you,
I open the doorway to my imagination
And find there a vast, undiscovered country
Filled with fun balloons, open-hearted tigers,
Lovely, kind-hearted gazelles,
Grown up children and
Playful adults.
Time to explore!
