Satellite Photo of Ireland
My boyfriend and I heard an Irish tune on the radio this week and I started to sing out loud. He was so surprised that I knew the words. I explained that while I was earning my degree in graphic design, I was a waitress and hostess at an Irish pub for 3 years. So, although I’m not Irish and have never been to Ireland, I know about the traditional food, beers, songs, instruments, and even the dance to that popular diddy about the unicorn written by Shel Silverstein. I had so much fun working at that pub and I grew to love the sound of bagpipes and fiddles. Every weekend was like St. Patrick’s Day!

personalized pendant
I was recently asked to create a personalized pendant as a gift for a new mom. Since I created the graphics on my computer, I was able to email the customer a sample before deciding on the final design. I love how graphic design and technology are meshing with my new line of handmade jewelry.
The customer, new mom, and artist are happy with the results!

I am training to run the Pocono Mountain
Run for the Red Half Marathon Relay on May 20th!
The funny part is that I have never even ran in a
race before, let alone half marathon! I used to be a solo runner and would get bored running over 4 miles. Then last spring I started running with my boyfriend and adding more miles … I loved it! My
inspiration is my dad. At 78 years old, he runs or walks almost every day. He has many medals and trophies from 5Ks, 10Ks, half and full marathons. He truly loves to run! I’m not in it to win any medals, I just want to
run 13.1 miles. My goal is to cross the finish line (injury-free) alongside my dad, brother, sister, brother-in-law, and boyfriend. It will be a family affair with my mom cheering us on! My dad and brother have run marathons together, and my brother-in-law (with a pacemaker) and sister have run half marathons together. Me??? I have always worked out as though I am training for something – so I might as well give it shot!
Wish us luck!
